PayID can be created in Westpac App or Online Banking. You must be registered for Westpac Protect (TM) SMS code and have an Osko account.

Westpac App

Ensure you have the latest version installed before trying out these instructions.

  1. Search PayID using the Smart search bar.
  2. Click to Register Now
  3. Select the account you want to receive payments on
  4. Tap to Confirm

Online Banking

Personal Customers

Go to service > services > account services > payID/pay to mobile.

Customers of Business

Click on Service > Account Services > PayID Settings > Create a new payee.

This can be done using your Westpac profile’s ABN. You must be registered to receive Westpac Protect(TM), SMS Code, or a token.

Business Administrators

You’ll have to permit Users to create PayIDs if you are the Administrator of a Business Network.

  1. Go to User management.
  2. Select the User to whom you wish to grant access. (The User must have been identified by Westpac and registered with a security device to be able to register and manage PayIDs.)
  3. Select Manage payees in the Other Permissions section for the User.
  4. Scroll down and click Save.
  5. The Administrator/s will have to approve the PayID after the User creates it.
  6. Select Other Tasks from the Approvals menu.

The Administrator can modify the number of approvals needed to create a payee:

  1. Features & Approvals
  2. Make sure that the Manage payees are selected in the Accounts Section.
  3. Save

PayIDs can only be linked with one account, so choose the one that suits you best.
